Re: super?
Dont no what car to start with, i started building a nova for supers. Gave up with it as it took to much time n effort to get it to a caged shell before I even thought about chopping out to fit a big engine in. Either buy one ready done or I hope your a dab hand with a welder

Re: super?
Capri was always a favourite with the supers, as no worries about coverting to rear wheel drive. Hellish big build though.
Sierra's were also widely used.
Do what i did and buy one readyish,
Pete Wells has a golf he hasnt raced yet, so that maybe for sale, not sure if hes bothering this year.
And i know of a MK2 escort part finished as well, and that maybe for sale.

Re: super?
Buxton race the opposite way round to warton, so maybe handling issues without doing a boat load of work
Re: super?

Re: super?
the buxton supers are quite a bit different than warton supers and would need alot of work to make them anywhere near competitive, when buying or building one you need to be thinking about how readily available spare parts are, the last one i done i put it on to transit running gear as it was more readily available and quite heavy duty for the knocks, i may know of a sierra thats not far off ready to race but needs making better but will prob b cheap, and its won a race with me behind the wheel

Re: super?
Martin go on ebay and get hold of a national/outlaw hot rod rolling chassis there not cheap but you have a proper race car. drop a body shell from the scrap yard on top and a engine there you go. Thats basically what the #4 car is

Re: super?
wayne if it was up to me . the supers would be either be hot rod style as mentioned above or full bodied cars with engines where they should be, driving the wheels the manufacturer intended.
