Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
Well after two weekends of messing about the rear suspension is sorted. I don't want a beam as I like more weight at the back combined with rear brakes is my preferred set up. I have fitted Rover Metro radius arms with specially fabricated shocker mountings and Spax adjustable shockers, let's hope this works!

Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
Goslow, I have 2 7" wide stretched Vauxhall rims to donate to this project if you want them?

Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
Thanks for the kind offer Stu. Am only using Vauxhall rims at the front, the rear ones are Rover Metro. Am limited to six inch rims because of my suspension set up.

Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
I've been quiet of late cos I've been busy. At last the rear end is sorted. Have junked everything Mini and installed Rover Metro radius arms, backplates and drums with Spax adjustables so the rear end is how I want it with the correct offsets, negative camber brackets and 13inch rims and slicks. The head is at Redmans for machining and is due back tomorrow then the engine goes back in - happy days!

Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
You and "THB" Tommy seem to have spent some pennies with "KENT CAMS" and Onslow is all stickered up on the mini!
IT'S GETTING CLOSE NOW TO TRACK TIME.
Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build

Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
them hairy cams in a mini must be hard to handle when the 1500-2500 power band kicks in

Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
Well I've got the head back from Redmans and I am well pleased! Valve seats sorted and skimmed up. This is a12G940/12G1805 as fitted to the mk3 Cooper S so I am hoping it will do the business.

Come on Onslow, "PRACTICE" day is getting closer and closer get the head gasket on and get the plant in the frame!...
Re: Onslow's Senior Mini Build
Still awaiting the head gasket and engine mounts. Am getting concerned becuse I could miss practice day which means I will be racing in an untested car!

Are the engine mounts not solid one's and have to be made by you?
