Onslow's Senior Mini Build

One hell of a frustrating afternoon. Have a really good brake pedal now and some strong front brakes but the fluid flow through the bias valve to the rears is rubbish and I can't get any rear brakes at all. Time for a beer and a think!

You dont need rear brakes.

Have you thought about parking the mini on a really steep hill That way the fluid should flow rapidly to the back of the car

is the bias valve 1 in 2 out

No one in one out Paul Gannon had the same valve and had loads of trouble with his.

There is a simple answer. You need 2 master cylinders and 2 bias valves. One cylinder fir the front and one for back linked with a common pedal. Then you wind the valves to suit each brake. If you want to be mega tricky have a third valve between the front brakes to alter left and right brake pressure.

there a nightmare onslow, had a right ball ache with mine.

got it working eventually.

It was a little bit too subtle for the thb boys. They understand a joke to be the likes of a clown slipping on a banana or an inappropriate jibe regarding the attractiveness of ones mother.

Oh hes defo gone this time lol

Two days of chaos, had big rant and threw the existing rear suspension in the bin. Had clearance problems and basically it was pants. All rebuilt now with totally different parts thanks to Craig at Mini Technique who fabricated some trick shocker mountings. Still got ride height issues but at least all the clearances and offsets are right. Thanks to Josh Vickers for the Spax shockers it might actually handle now!
