John Marlow stock car build
Looks like John Marlow aka "Rev John " has decided to join the elite of stock car drivers !
Are we going to see it on track soon or are we on a "onslow " ?

Re: John Marlow stock car build
I wish him all the very best in his quest for a venture on to the hallowed tarmac. And if he requires some technical assistance then there is no point coming to me. However i have some yellow kitchen paint and black gloss going begging if he wants it.

Re: John Marlow stock car build
I think I might have dropped a few marbles.
No idea what I'm doing but its going to be a laugh whatever happens.
A real adventure for me, I know nothing about cars so need to learn everything pretty quick. Already discovered the delights of an angle grinder, cant get enought of it, makes my hands all tingly.
I prefer not to be compared to Nig, he is a master craftsman, I on the other hand used string to fasten the steering rack in.
If anyone has any advice, old unused tools, old unused parts or bent bits I will gratefully take them. I dont know what I need, basically all the stuff except seat and exhaust.
I shall update my progress on my site. I am doing this for two reasons
1. To have fun. (accomplished)
2. To understand whats going on on the track a little better.
ok three reasons:
3. p**s the wife off! (accomplished)

Here is a list of other things you will come across during your "fun" build.
1 Frustration
2 Empty pockets
3 Late nights
4 Abuse (female driven)
5 Lack of Electricity (spent the bill money on a starter motor)
6 Lack of Gas (Spent the money on tyres)
7 Abuse ( read 4)
8 Complete lack of sexual intimacy/ gratification from wife (should of paid the electric bill)
9 Starvation ( the wife has legged it and took the cooker)
10 Abuse (Wifes Solicitor driven)
11. Aging ( to convince the WRVI you need meals on wheels and you are incapable)

Suppose this is better to watch than you loitering around St Marys Car Park, leering out of your car window on a Tuesday afternoon (30.07.2013) ..................................... perv
